This book is aimed at girls from 6 years to about 10 years. This is book number 51 in the Rainbow Magic series and is part of The Dance Fairies mini series.

This story starts with 2 young girls who are great friend and are going to a disco. The girls are familiar with the fairies from previous stories. Their friend Jade the disco fairy has had her magical ribbon stolen by one of Jack Frosts Goblins. When the girls turn up at the school disco, everyone there is dancing very badly except for one strange looking guy over in the corner of the school hall. The girls go over to investigate and discover he is the goblin dressed up. The girls must help Jade get back her magical ribbon from the goblin, without anyone else at the disco finding out. The girls and Jade tickle the goblin until he lets go of the ribbon and they return it to Jade and save the disco.

This is a great story and has helped my 7 year old daughter along her way of being a fluent and confident young reader. The story is very interesting and it keeps her gripped at all times. The story is broken down into 6 chapters. There are lots of pictures throughout the book to break up the text. This book has 73 pages. The last few pages in the book, list the other Rainbow Magic titles available (around 70 so far). These books are widely available from many retailers, we got this one from Asda for 3.99

I would recommend this book to any young reader, to help them become more confident reading on their own or to others. The book is laid out in a way that is not intimidating to an early reader. I find that just the look of some books can put off my daughter from reading them on her own, but not this one. Another great thing about this book is that it is part of a huge series, but if you have not read previous stories, it won't matter as each book has substance in it's own right.

This book is currently available on Amazon.co.uk for around 3 pounds.
