worth a read especially if you can pick up cheap.

      Rainbow's End - Katie Flynn****

For those of you who have never heard of Katie Flynn she is in the top ten Sunday times bestselling authors list and also writes under the name Judith Saxon. This book is part of the authors Liverpool series and there are around 22 all together. As far as i know none of them are connected to each other the author just sets most of her books in the same place!.I think that this is good in a way because she obviously knows the areas well and so can talk about them in great detail.
This has a number of similarities to other books from the same author,in that it is set in the past around 1925-a lot of her books are set in this time period.

The story is different from her other books in that there is only one main character.

The main character in this book is called Rose Ryder.
She really wants to be a tram driver like her dad but life is never fair is it? and obviously this doesn't happen.
When tragedy happens(like it does in all Katie Flynn books)Rose and her mother have to turn their house into a boarding house.

Another character in the book is Colm O'neil-He is happy in Dublin but his father gets a new job and he has to go with him. This is when he meets Rose as he moves into the boarding house.
A book seemingly filled with misery but then has a happy ending.

Price-The rrp is 6.99 but i got this for £2 in a cheap bookshop(can't remember where)It is also available from amazon and various bookshops including Waterstones.I think this is a muct have for katie flynn fans and in my opinion it is one of her better books.
