Tom Clancy Rainbow Six is a novel based on the successful computer game series of the same name.
The plot is skilfully-crafted and highly readable but will take sometime to finish as it is 897 pages long.
The story is about an Elite Multinational Task force called Rainbow based in Hereford and they deal with International terrorism and Hostage situations across the globe.
The head of Rainbow six is an ex member of the CIA John Clark and Team Two is made up of:
Four Americans, 4 Brits, A German and A French man. Who are all NCOs (Non-Commissioned Officers)
The team members of Team Two are as follows:
Domingo 'Ding' Chavez - Team leader
Louis Loiselle - Former member of French parachute forces and a utility infielder, he is also a brilliant marksman with a pistol and rifle.
Feldwebel Dieter Weber - also a paratrooperand a graduate the German army's Bergfuhrer or Mountain Leader school, he joined Rainbow from
the German GSG-9 team. Weber is one of the team's two long-riflemen.
SFC Homer Johnston - A mountaineer from Idaho. He started his military career in the 101st Air-Mobile at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and rapidly
worked his way into the Army's black world. Johnston was a former Green Beret and Delta member. The second of the two Long-riflemen.
The shooters are the Brits. Steve Lincoln, Paddy Connolly, Scotty McTyler and Eddie Price, these ones are from the SAS. The american
shooters are: Mike Pierce, Hank Patterson and George Tomlinson from the American Delta Force.
The plot is set in Hereford on the SAS base where the Rainbow team's buildings are located, then moves onto Switzerland for their First mission
which is a hostage situation, they then handle the kidnapping of an international trader then deal with carnage in a theme park in Spain.
If you've played any of the games i would highly reccomend this novel even if you haven't i still reccomend it.
My personal rateing for this book is 9/10.
Summary: Execellent read may take some time to finish
