Advantages: Well written, excellent storyline, loads of action
Disadvantages: None, long, but too short!
Rainbow 6 by Tom Clancy Rainbow 6 by Clancy is one of his finest works yet. Clancy weaves a tale of international terrorism that totally envelops the reader. Rainbow is an international anti terrorist team setup to counter terrorist threats throughout the world. The idea being that if there were members of different nationalities, they are more likely to be called into different countries rather than the individual police/military units of that country. Rainbow is commanded by ex-CIA man John Clark. An ex-army man himself, he heads up the top team, including British SAS soldiers. The team is setup just in time to counter a new terrorist threat. This new threat is so insidious and well organised it could well destroy the whole human race. Rainbow counters the threat across several different countries and slowly unravells the plot, which reaches right into the White House. It's a fantastic read written in typical Clancy style, with stacks or action, intrigue and excitement. The book is, however absolutely enormous, so don't expect it to be a quick read. It's one you'll pickup and find glued to your hands. Enjoy!
