 ... insight into human nature and as a result I found these previous books unrealistic. However, this book was a totally different kettle of fish and I found this was a much better read. It was again a very good story, which I found flowed really well. Yes, maybe it was a little slow to start but that was merely setting the scene. Background: I have read several novels over the past few months by this author. And up to this point for me the jury was still out about the quality of his work. I decided this book should help me access whether I liked his style or not. This book I found at a Jumble sale and bought it for just 20p. About the author: Although born in the West Indies in 1930 Christopher Nicole is considered to be a British author. His other works have included five best selling historical fiction novels, Russian novels and the Berkeley series.
