I would wait in eager anticipation for any new novels to make their appearance in the bookshops, and immediately part with my hard-earned spondoolicks (money) to buy them as soon as they did. I bought this book from Asda and I'm glad I did. I say that because at least I didn't have to pay the cover price for it - I would really have been annoyed to pay the full price for this story. The plot of the story - "Will someone rid me of this turbulent priest?" Anyone old enough to try and wade through the 927 pages of this book will remember the attempt on the Pope's life - this is basis of this story and therefore you know the ending of the book. What Clancy does is try and fill in some of the historical blanks with fiction/researched fact or bunkum. Who will know the truth? ...
