The Red Room was one of the top ten bestsellers when it was first released in 2001. I picked up a paperback copy many months ago but had never quite got around to reading it. With a two hour train journey looming I thought this was a perfect chance to get stuck in. Not only was I hooked for the whole train journey, but I disappeared for an early night only to find myself still awake at 2am reading the last few pages! Kit Quinn is a psychologist who is called by the police to assess a man they are holding in custody for hanging around a primary school.
