The Spear of Destiny - Trevor Ravenscroft:
... Ravenscroft s book Spear of Destiny concerns the Spear of Longinus, so named after the Roman centurion who supposedly plunged it into Christ s side, and claims to document Hitler s attempts to use the spear s mystical properties to aid his rise to power. Its certainly a fascinating concept, and the book is written in an academic style and purports to be exhastively researched, with Ravenscroft weaving an i... In God's Name - David A. Yallop ... likes a good conspiracy theory; from JFK to Princess Diana to the events of September 11th, unfortunately the one thing all have in common is death. This book is no different, albeit a lot less high profile (in my experience) than those other events. It covers the death of Pope John Paul I (Albino Luciani). I was only two years old when he died in September 1978 so I was largely unaware of the controversy surrounding the Pontiff s death. Albino Luciani was a surprise choice as a successor to Pope Paul VI. He was supported largely by the third world Archbishops and represented a new dawn for the Church. Only 33 days into his papacy he was found dead in his... Read the full review: Murder in the Vatican by tommy7 |

The Satanic Bible - Anton LaVey ... his predecessor Aleister Crowley, Anton Lavey was by no stretch of the imagination an evil man, but simply one who took delight in cultivating a theatrically-sinister reputation and image. Lavey s Church of Satan continued the occultist/mystical themes of Crowley s work whilst merging them with the then-blooming liberal hippie counterculture of the 60s and 70s and overdramatic, Hammer-Horror theatrics. LaVey s famous book The Satanic Bible is essentially just a humanist philosophical tract, whereby Satan exists not as a literal entity but rather as a metaphor for free-thought and self-empowerment, whereby human nature is celebrated openly rather than suppressed... Angel Visions - Doreen Virtue ... For Buying I got this book because I am very interested in the paranormal and I find anything to do with it fascinating. The book is easy to read because the words written in it are written with letters that are big enough to see well. As a personal preference I like that better than books written with smaller writing because I think that it makes it a lot easier to read and also because with smaller writing, I find that I lose my place a lot when trying to read. If you are interested in this sort of thing I think you will love this. It really gave me a insight into angels and that s something that I have always had a particular interest in. I had a experience ab... Read the full review: An Intriguing and Fascinating Book About Angels. by danielleg1989 |
