Advantages: A light and entertaining read.

Disadvantages: None!

As another "lend" from my younger sister I was introduced to one of my sister's favourite authors, Sophie Kinsella.

Being aware of the "confessions of a shopaholic", although I have yet to borrow that one, I was quietly confident that this book was going to be a reasonable read.... And I was right!

The book I will now review is "Remember me? by Sophie Kinsella"

The basic premise of the book is as follows - Lexi is not what you would call a popular girl with the boys. Having frizzy hair and what her school friends of old deemed as a snaggletooth she see's fit to lower her standards enough to stick with her loser boyfriend, aptly nicknamed loser Dave!
This aside she has a great and close group of friends who she has immense fun with and a few cocktails along the way!

After one such night out she slips into the path of an oncoming taxi. Lexi comes round in hospital thinking she has been unconscious but only for the night, grateful for this fact as her scally dad's funeral is the day after.

After a rather surreal visit from her mum, whom seems decidedly older, the news is broken to Lexi that she has not been unconscious for a night, but for 5 nights, and that the initial "slipping under a taxi" was not the cause of this rare form of amnesia, but rather a car accident in her sporty Mercedes! Ok this doesn't seem too bad, the facts that are most upsetting is that she has lost the last three years of memory, has transformed herself from snaggletooth friend to super bitch boss from hell and learned to drive!

After viewing herself in a mirror she is again surprised to find she has been transformed into a fit, lithe tight bodied beauty, with perfect veneered teeth and the perfect hair style, to go with these changes she has also, inexplicably managed to get married to a stunningly gorgeous man who just happens to be a multi millionaire!

Is her life as perfect as it seems, will she regain her memory and remember the "love" she has with her husband Eric or is the perfect chance to turn her life around and try to get back her once best friends, who now refuse to speak to her or explain what exactly happened......

This is such a good book, I have to be honest it is not a taxing read, but I still got completely hooked from the first page.
You feel yourself willing the main character Lexi to sort things out with her ex-friends, to slap her mum for being the flakiest person alive and to embrace the beautiful and genuine character Jon, who is adamant from the first meeting that before her car accident they were having a passionate affair and she was getting ready to leave her husband for him.

This really is a fantastic and light read, the perfect book to immerse yourself in and feel entertained from the start.

This book will set you back around the £4.00 mark plus p&p from www.amazon.co.uk

Thanks for reading x
