What I like most about Sophie Kinsella books is the fact that she has some wonderful characters in her stories and she has the ability to really bring them to life through her words and plot lines.

In this book the central character is Lexi Smart who has a life changng event while on a night out with her friends. She suffers a blow to the head and wakes up in hospital three years later, the date that her accident happened is all the more poignant as it was the night before her fathers funeral. However she has not been in a coma for the past three years, instead she discovers that she is married, has had plastic surgery and her teeth sorted. Not only that but she is no longer in the dead end job she was in before the fall but that she now has a high powered job, oh and her husband is minted.

She now has to re-trace her steps and discover whether she can continue to live her new life with a new husband who she assums she must love.

This is a wonderful book, a little escapism in the themes it covers and it is rather addictive and quite hard to put down, the heroine is nice and vulnerable and you cannot help rooting for her.

It is an easy read and it has its lighter moments, the characters are well structured and the plot is well constructed. There is enough pace in the storyline to hold the readers interest and overall it is an ideal book to read while on holiday as it is a nice safe story with a feel good factor to it.
