 Resistance - Anita Shreve ... refugees, whom Claire nurses and harbours from the perpetual threat of discovery by the Gestapo. The B-17 bomber that crash-lands outside Claire's village of Delahaut contains the man who will be both the last and the most significant of the attic's residents: US Air Force pilot Ted Brice. Strange Fits of Passion is the first book I have read by Anita Shreve, even though she is an author who has been around for quite a long time. When I first started reading this book I wasn t sure that I liked the style and I didn t think I was going to enjoy it! How wrong could I be?
