Advantages: Another classic

Disadvantages: Probably the worst in the series

Part two in the Hitchhiker’s guide, and possibly the worst (but definitely not a bad book), this continues on from the first novel. Again, most of this book appeared in the TV series so fans of that won’t encounter anything new, but it’s still a worthy read.
Basically, the cast visits the Restaurant at the End of the Universe (as opposed to the Big Bang Burger Bar), which is held in a force bubble and allows the diners to view the End of the Universe from relative safety. Arthur doesn’t agree with the food and they all end up on prehistoric Earth with a bunch of telephone hygienists. Yes, I know that’s a very brief summary, but I don’t want to spoil it for you.
As I said, this is probably the least amusing in the series, but it’s not so bad that it’ll put you off reading the next books. It still retains the original’s oddness and wit, so don’t worry. Hey, you might just like it.
