clearly see how Conan Doyle develops the character from A Study in Scarlet to The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes . it is brilliant to finally see a book which focuses not only on the stories published in the strand Magazine but the ones that were not published or that where published by his children. It's just great fun by a great author. If you like it you can read the sequel 'The White Company' (which was actually written and published prior to 'Sir Nigel'). Wordsworth classics. ...
