... working on it. I should note I am reviewing the fourth edition as it is more up to date (regulations wise) and the loft conversion section has been extensively expanded. I do own this book aswell though. This book provides a huge amount of information on all aspects of roofing. from installation methods, dormer windows and openings, different types of trusses and where to use right down to the history of roofing. C N Mindham`s fourth edition of his Roof construction and Loft conversion series is a definite must for carpenters and builders everywhere. I bought the third edition about 4-5 years ago as I had a big and quite complex roof to do. It proved invaluable. While I had done lots of roofs before I wasn`t very good at reading technical drawings. The chapter on this really helped and, the next time I looked at the drawing it was a lot easier to understand. I could see how the roof was going to work in my head before actually working on it.
