I shall alway's be in Rosemary Connolly's debt, after reading her hip and thigh book it spurred me on to actually have a try at dieting. I was the kind of person who basically thought that having a choccie bar and a packet of biscuit's for breakfast was ok, well I did get a little spotty but never mind, I've got somr good spot cream! This was my basic outlook, till I realised that I really did not want to be fat and 30! With Rosemary Connelly I found a diet that I could stick to, I'm not a saint but I think that the fact thjat it was a decent diet (ie I did not feel hungry and I lost weight regularly) and that I had the will power. Before I start let me point out that although I have used this as a diet in the past, and yes, it works brilliantly, I appreciate it more as a guideline to health. Rosemary Conley discovered the benefits of low fat eating when she opted to control a gall bladder problem by diet rather than surgery. She lost a considerable amount of weight and was inspired to help others do the same..... I am generally not a fan of diets. It's well documented that dieting can cause your body to feel it is being starved and in protest slow down its metabolism so when you stop dieting you put on even more weight!
