I love weddings and can't get enough of all the romantic details, so I was looking forward to receiving this book. At first glance it seems promising - a large, beautifully bound hardback with hundreds of photographs of a variety of royal weddings, many of them taking up a whole single or double page. However once I looked closer, I was disappointed. Firstly, the reproduction quality of the photos is in many places quite low - imagine a photo taken on a 2 megapixel phone-camera blown up to A4 size and you'll get the idea - blurred lines, visible pixels, and background faces in the crowd look like pink blobs with no features. "Royal Weddings," is a collection of photographs spanning Weddings from the United Kingdom, Sweden, Japan, as well as several other countries. Also included is information detailing each Wedding. I bought this book for two reasons. The first was because I am a photographer and was interested in the photographic value of Royal Weddings. I was curious to see how good the photos were, and to also act as a reference source for my own photography. The second reason was because my mother (who sadly has not been well for a while) has 'a thing' for Royalty, and I thought she would enjoy it.
