This is rather a cute and unusual book written for small children and is definitely a must if you are having trouble instilling manners in your young child. Rude Mule is not so much a story but a series of 'what ifs' focusing on a small child and a hypothetical mule who might come visiting and behave in many unthinkable ways! The book starts with the words: 'What would you do if....?' and this phrase is repeated throughout the book. The first 'what would you do' is if a mule knocked on your door one day and announced he'd come for lunch! (Unlikely, I know, but then this is a children's book so anything can happen!)
