Have you ever met anyone when they are a bit older and wondered what they were like in their youth? Perhaps they are a police officer or a politician whose reputation is beyond repute? Would you be shocked to discover that to get to were they are they had to do some pretty rebellious things? I think you would be. I have read several of the later ‘Prey’ series and thought I knew the main character Lucan Davenport well, but I was surprised to discover a whole new side of the character in this one of his first adventure.
