its an awesome book, i was shocked and i felt really sad after reading Jack and Zena's horrible experience, but its so sweet and courageous that they stayed together. They were really daring to do so. i was just shocked to read how society can be so mean and ignoring. i dont see anything wrong with intercultural relationships and i was so glad to read until the end that they were safe and together. i would recommend people to read it because as you read it, you start to feel how Jack and Zena felt at that ... This review is really about a book for which John McCarthy only wrote the introduction and for want of no where else to submit it, I have placed it here. Having read both 'Some Other Rainbow' by him and Jill Morrell and 'An Evil Cradling' by Brian Keenan, I was inspired to read this book also. What I loved best about the books, was despite the hostages suffering, they were able to write so eloquently and so humorously about what had happened to them.
