Running in heels, is the second book by Anna Maxted that I have read. I only picked it up because my sister gave it to me, but actually I was rather pleasantly suprised. Normally I just like to immerse myself in a fantasy land when I read a book and anything to heavy or scary doesn't get a chance. To be fair the blurb on the back of the book doesn't really convey much about the book at first glance it looks like most other chick lit books; light and fluffy, and for about half of it, it is, but it does have greater depths. The latest book I have read from the set of five is Running in Heels, by Anna Maxted. I had never heard of Anna Maxted before reading this, and wasn't too convinced by the blurb on the back, but decided to give it a go anyway. ~The Story~ Natalie and Babs are best friends, and have been for several years despite their differing personalities. Natalie works doing PR for a ballet company, and likes to please everyone. Babs is a female firefighter and isn't afraid to speak her mind.
