Have you ever toyed with the idea of taking up running or jogging but didnt really know how to get started or needed some motivation to get you off the sofa? a year ago that was me, I was looking for a form of exercise that didnt involve the gym and that I could do anytime I wanted, jogging seemed perfect but how do I go about it? Yes ok I hear you snigger, jogging is easy, you get your trainers on and get your arse outside and run. Simple. If you've ever fancied taking up running - whether to lose weight, get fitter, get out into the fresh air, or with a specific aim (such as competing in a race) in mind - this book is the perfect companion. There's one caveat only - it does assume that you are starting from scratch, from a not-very-fit-at-all baseline. If you're already fit and hoping to get fitter, this may not be the ideal resource for you - although it still does contain much useful information. I haven't, to be perfectly honest, done a great deal of exercise since the birth of my baby 18 months ago.
