One of many exhilarating books I have read written by Chris Ryan. It s exciting from start to finish as people have come to expect from Ryan. Following the story of Geordie Sharp a member of the British SAS. The military side of this book is brilliant – if you are interested in the Army and the Special Services, then this is the book for you. If you like good all American Hero action tales, this is the book for you. Obviously, we are left wondering how of Chris Ryan is in Geordie. Methinks that maybe the answer to this is that Geordie is the soldier that Chris wanted to be, or am I being harsh?? ...

to force myself away from it on the plane journey there so I didn't finish my first book before arrival! If you've never heard of or read on of Chris Ryan's books before you're missing out. Chris Ryan was an SAS soldier, most famous for being one of the soldiers to escape Iraq during operation Desert Storm as part of the doomed Bravo Two Zero patrol. He's also written several books including his account of the patrol (The One That Got Away), and several action/thrillers. Chris Ryan writes superbly and the storyline in his latest novel is masterfully crafted. The main character in the tale, Neil Slater has left the SAS and is looking for work. ...
