Many of us like looking at old photos of the area in which we live, and who wouldn't want too see a picture of their house 100 years ago - that's if it existed back then. Costing £19.95 from www.bookstore.co.uk, 'Ryde Revisted' is an A4 hardback coffee-table book which takes a look at my hometown through the superb photography of William Hogg. Published by the Oakwood Press, the book features work which has been restored from Hogg's original glass negatives, and they probably look as good today as they did when they were first taken.
