My daughters are very keen on Korky Paul picture books and recently I bought them a set from the Book People which included this great tale - Sanji and the Baker! It's a brilliant story with a bit of a moral and has fabulous illustrations too! The story takes place a long time ago and is set in the fabled city of Fratsia which looks to be to be somewhere in the East. A young man called Sanji travels there across stormy seas and hot deserts. When he arrives in this beautiful city, famous for trading in spices, gems and colourful silks, he decides to stay for a while.
