s well written, with some surprising twists and turns, and you do have the hope that the daughter will be rescued, but it just didn t grab me the way I d hoped. I think it was probably the background of the story itself for me. Mob stories are just too far away from my real life to affect me I guess. I recently was given this book after commenting to a friend that I had read The Take by Martina Cole. The author Jessie Keane is being held as the "new Martina", mainly due to their subject matter being similar. Dirty Game focuses on two sisters from a broken family who work in a club owned by the leader of the local gang. One sister is plain looking but reliable and is chosen by the owner as suitable wife material, the other is feisty and beautiful and he cannot resist sleeping with her on the night before his wedding.
