About this book: Jeanette Orrey is a former school dinner lady. She promotes using fresh local produce to deliver healthy nutrious food to children. No fast food or precooked anything here. This is Jeanette's second dinner lady book. Target Audience: The book is aimed at families with children. My opinion: As I had the first book I couldn't wait to get my hands on this 2nd edition. There is less forward information but still 108 pages to get through before the 1st recipe! With advice on how to shop and the importance of eating family meals together. Lovely recipes, well-written, with the emphasis on the food not the ego. No low-fat/GI etc recipes here!

Great comfort cooking recipes Not the healthiest cookbook

lots of wonderful recipes I'll never be thin

Recipes are suitable for all the family as well as being meals that will appeal to children. Jeanette does often talk about buying organic (nice if you can).

Great writing and recipes, good to flick through for inspiration Not enough puddings!
