Advantages: Great to relate to, keeops you reading and wanting more.

Disadvantages: You don't want the story to end and it does - but there are more!

A fabulous story that EVERYONE can relate to.

This book has it all shopping, love interests, action and comedy. It is a real laugh out loud book, with great comedy throughout this book and the series.

Read this before seeing the film!!!!!

Rebecca Bloomwood is a normal girl but Rebecca has a secret addiction, spending! Rebecca also known as Bex buys lots and lots.

Whilst sharing a flat with her friend Sooz she discovers what cutting down and learning how to curb her spending really is.

Bex works as a financial advisor on a spending section for a TV show. She has great advice for the viewers who contact the show especially for this advice, shame she cannot stick to it herself.

Bex meets Luck Brandon a guy she likes but he is already in a relationship with Alicia bitch long legs and Bex doesn't stand a chance or does she?

Luke Brandon is very down to earth even though his mother is a top socialite in Manhattan. Luke however was brought up by his father and step mother in Devon/Cornwall.

Luke owns Brandon Communications and leads a very busy lifestyle where everything centres around work.

Inevitably Bex and Luke get together and it's a match made in heaven, and although Bex is learning all about getting out of debt she is going through her own journey.

This book is part of a series, called "Shopaholic and a............" it's a great series and follows Becky through her journey of life with the problems it presents, money, men, sisters, babies etc.

I really enjoyed the books and have seen the film too, there are a few differences for those of you who may be confused after seeing the film first. In the book Bex and Sooz's cousin Tarquin have a minor thing, he has a major crush her, then later ends up with Sooz (even though they are cousins - I suppose this could cause some controversy). The main difference between the book and the film is the book is based in good old England and the film of course America, New York City. Which will be interesting if they continue the series in film (for those of you who have read them, you will understand). The last difference is Alicia bitch long legs is with Luke in the book but not in the film although she is in it.

This book is 100% chick literature. I don't like to ruin the endings.

Summary: Great chick lit!

Good start but you haven't really told me anything I couldn't get from the back of the book itself. Might be helpful to know you thoughts about the writing style, what are the characters like? Have you read others in the series - how does this one compare?
