just seemed to be trying too hard but as they are apparently renown for being thriller writers I suppose it was only to be expected. I keep referring to Nicci French as they because the books are written by a husband and wife team of journalists Nicci Gerrard and Sean French. Perhaps this is why there is a change of direction as each contributes their own sections but possibly it only seems that way to me. Despite this I must say that I did enjoy the book and found it very hard to put down.
