Peter White is a Disability Affairs Correspondent for the BBC, radio presenter and television producer. He was born blind. 'See It My Way' is his autobiography, it's hilarious in parts and I felt very moved by others.He recalls tales from his childhood spent in 'schools for the blind', which you can almost smell from his choice descriptions. His endeavours to read Braille, dancing classes, his first unaccompanied trip to the shops.... I noticed he repeats himself in parts, but this can be forgiven, it's a delightful read and I wont prattle on. It was first published in 1999 and serialised in The Times, now available ...
