This is a great non-fiction / fiction based book for children from about 4 to 7 years old. Another book by Sam Godwin that I recently bought, being so impressed by 'All Kinds of Everything - A first look at materials'. It is a fabulous introduction to the Science based topic of looking at the plant cycle. - A Seed in Need - A first look at the plant cycle - The facts in the book are told by a brightly coloured ladybird and a friendly looking snail which makes it more interesting for children as it's an information book which has appealing characters.
