I run a book club at school to try and encourage more children to enjoy reading. One of the recent books that I picked up in a charity shop for 45p was this book entitled 'Seiko the Watchdog' by Hazel Edwards and illustrated by Jeffy James, published in 2001. This book is part of the Storytellers Summer Skies series, according to the reverse of the book. The story comprises 3 main characters - Seiko the watchdog, his friend Hot Dog, and the Cat Burglar. Information about each of these characters is given in the first chapter, and laid out as a profile, which makes for interesting reading.
