Advantages: great pacey writing

Disadvantages: ending could have been better

this book is not quite as good as its predecessor, however the basic fact that the charachters are so different and exciting would make this book worth a ead if it was 600 pages about fishing. Koontz's portrayal of animal is seen in most of his books as in this and it makes an interesting and refreshing change to have an animal as an integral charachter. This book does suffer from a couple of lengthy patches which aren't really needed but all in all I just love reading about Chris 'Snowman' Snow and his XP(xeroderma pigmentosum - aversion to light because it basically gives him cancer). I would also highly recommend any other Koontz books. I haven't found any really bad ones yet. I have also lent this book to many of my friends who all liked it to the extent the have bought other Koontz books!
