extreme by sharron osbourne I am a big fan of charity shops, I love bargains and having a good old rummage around however some times they are just full of junk and it's at time like this when panic. I feel so guilty if I don't want to buy anything and I don't want to walk out with out buying so I always look at the books and end up buying something ill probably never read. This is what happened when I found the Sharron Osbourne autobiography. I love autobiographies and at a bargain £1.00 I had to buy it (if only to ensure I bought something) I'll admit I knew very little of Sharron. I enjoyed the first series of The Osbourne's on MTV but soon ... Read the complete review

I have always been a fan of Mrs O and decided to read the first installment of her autobiography. I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of content but I knew it would be very honest and direct. And what I like is that she is actually old enough to write an autobiography unlike other celebrities who write them when they are barely out of their nappies! People may think that Sharon Osbourne is just a judge on the X Factor and if you think that, then I highly recommend that you read her book. It is evident that she is more than just Ozzy Osbourne's wife and a TV personality. She was once one of the most influential music managers and still is today, managing ... Read the complete review

EXTREME is the title of Sharon Osbourne's autobiography. Sharon mentions her childhood briefly which is always something I find tedious in autobiography's. The book starts becoming interesting when she talks about her father who was Ozzy's manager for many years. That was until he started taking Ozzy's money and then Sharon became his manager and the two fell in love. This is a great insight into the management side of music. She talks about the many ups and downs she's had with Ozzy. There are so many crazy stories here that are beyond belief. It's a great section as you won't believe what happened. Some stories are traumatic like Sharon's ... Read the complete review

When I was in my teens I couldn't help but become fascinated by the Osbourne family - Ozzy, his wife Sharon, and their children. The reason for this is their hugely successful 2002 MTV reality show "The Osbournes". It was the first fly-on-the-wall series about celebrities' lives, and it spawned a genre. More than anyone, while watching the show, I was particularly interested in Sharon, there just seemed to be something about her; Sharon's personality seemed to light up the whole house, and she certainly had to be strong to be married to Ozzy. They've been married for nearly thirty years, and Sharon is a rock music manager, which I loved ... Read the complete review

An autobiography that I did not really enjoy reading was "Extreme" which tells the story of the life of Sharon Osbourne. I had expected this to be an interesting read and to be fair it was but the problem with it is that even from the written page you can tell how much this woman loves herself and thinks highly of what she has achieved. There is nothing worse than a person with no modesty and this book tells the story of just such a person in my opinion. Yes she does have a story to tell and it is an interesting read, it tells of her life growing up and how she came into contact with some very interesting but scary characters through her ... Good reworking of Superman and a bit of an improvement on a dull character

Excellent for those who like chick lit, easy reading
Not so great for those who don't!
Down River - John Hart
Vaguely interesting story, faintly evocative descriptions.
Horrible overuse of adjectives, illogical plot jumps and inconsistent character writing.
