Sherlock Holmes is the best fictional detective ever created by pen. The stories are all great and you can clearly see how Conan Doyle develops the character from 'A Study in Scarlet' to 'The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes'. it is brilliant to finally see a book which focuses not only on the stories published in the strand Magazine but the ones that were not published or that where published by his children. I have read some of the stories published and they are worthy of the credit given to them and their author. The others I assume give the same amount of enjoyment and excitement as the others. The writing is typical of the time and could be offensive to those who think everything should be politically correct. The language can be pretty confusing to those who are not used to 19th century literature. Overall the stories should be excellent to those who like this type of story.
This title features the 12 short stories that made up The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, including A Scandal in Bohemia, The Red-Headed League, The Man with the Twisted Lip and The Speckled Band and The Hound of the Baskervilles.
