This is a book that has been read and enjoyed by three generations of my family; myself (twenty-something), my mother (forty something) and my grandmother (wouldn't forgive me for giving away her age) all loved this book. The plot is extremely satisfying and has plenty of twists to keep even the most astute people guessing. The characters are real and compelling; whenever one or other of them is in danger I found myself really on the edge of my seat and honestly worried about them.
