Pat Hutchin's is the prolific author and illustrator of many children's books, her Titch series and Rosie's Walk being some of her best known. Her animal books are beautiful and this one also helps to explain the tricky (and perhaps a little unecessary for tiny ones but you'd be surprised ) concept of perspective. Now, don't let that put you off! It's also a sweet little story about friendship as well as quite a sophisticated idea explained very neatly and not in a preachy way. ***The Background*** Pat Hutchins has been writing children’s books for quite some time now and her character of Titch has become more popular thanks to the series on Channel 5 in the mornings on Milkshake. ***The Story*** This story is simple and basically tries to help children understand about things that are small or things that are just far away. It starts with a group of woodland friends looking at a wood far away across the fields. It looks tiny to them and as they see Owl flying towards it they see that he appears to be shrinking.
