A Simple Plan is the intense and compelling psychological thriller that had me gasping for relief. The novel has you considering the issues surrounding why people do certain things. Why do people kill, steal, and rape? All these things are evil and the brilliance of Scott Smith elevates the reasons for action and the outcome of them. Not like any boring documentary, Scott Smith takes you into the minds of these seemingly ordinary characters, exploring their emotions and thoughts will leave you chilled. The Simple plan is one of those nice little well made films that struggles to get a cinema release in the UK, regardless of how good the movie is. So it’s my job to tell you that it’s real rather fun. Based in the bag woods of a winter mid American landscape, three life long friends from a small town discover a hidden crashed plane. The aircraft is covered in snow and contains to dead bodies, and one a half million dollars in a smashed suitcase. The first reaction of our honest simpleton farming folk is to report it to the authorities. But as the biting cold wind blows across the baron landscape they begin to have darker ...
