As a mathematically challenged individual I have found this book invaluable. I was 25 before I obtained a GCSE in maths, having previously got a U grade at O level, A grade 2 CSE and grade D at my first GCSE attempt whilst at school/sixth form, so discovering that teaching A level Psychology meant teaching (and later marking/moderating) A level difficulty statistical tests sent me into spasms of horror. I attempted to teach Spearman's rho and Mann Whitney U by following the standard Psychology A level textbooks, but frankly, I could't really understand what I was doing myself and this left my students even more mystified.
