As some of you already know I have a bit of an obsession with all things Henry VIII and his wives. I've read countless books on the subject and watched plenty of David Starkey's documentaries on TV but I'd never read one of his books and thought perhaps it was time I did! So the first book I chose is this one about Henry's six wives. I picked up my copy on ebay for a couple of pounds but on Amazon it is available new for £7.50 and used for just under £5. I really enjoy reading history books (at least well written ones) and especially any to do with the Tudor period. I chose this book based on the fact that it looked to be a thorough biography of Henry VIII's wives and my enjoyment of another David Starkey book - Elizabeth. It is, unsuprisingly, divided into six sections, one for each wife, of varying length depending on the length of marriage and the events that happened during the marriage. Each wife's section focusses soley on her life and times, in the section on Katherine of Aragon the divorce is discussed from her viewpoint but there is little mention of Anne Boleyn.
