***Background*** Trawling through the books in our local library, I spotted quite a few on the shelf by Judy Astley and casually picked this one up. I had never actually heard of her before so I wasn't sure whether it would be a serious story or a more light-hearted novel. I'm pleased to say that this one was a lovely funny story. Judy Astley has written many novels dating back to 1994 but she started out by writing a picture book for children called When One Cat Woke Up. Size Matters was published in 2004 so has been on our shelves for a couple of years and it does make me wonder why I haven't noticed it around these parts before. ***The ...
