Skeleton Key is the third book of the highly successful Alex Rider series written by Anthony Horowitz, which now has eight different book. If you haven't read the first two books please don't read this as I have to include information from the first book although I will only say what is on the blurb for the second. After completing two successful missions acting as a spy Alex is once again wanted by Alan Blunt and MI6. This time however, they want to lend him to the CIA. "Skeleton Key" is the third in the Alex Rider series, and, although it is in my opinion the worst of the series so far, it still tells a superb story. On a routine job, Alex finds himself on the run from a Chinese triad gang, and he has to take refuge on Cayo Esqueleto (Skeleton Key), a small island off Cuba. Here, he meets General Alexei Sarov, who he finds has an explosive plan to rewrite history. Only Alex can stop these plans from going ahead, and it's never as easy as it seems. Skeleton Key is the third book in the Alex Rider series and it picks up where the last book left off. Alex is playing a football match when Crawley visits him and asks him to go undercover at Wimbledon. He run's into a nasty triad and is forced to flee England for his own safety and reluctantly agrees to help the CIA on a survellience mission on General Sarov, who they believe has a nuclear bomb. Alex soon runs into the General and madness ensues and a battle to the death takes place in Russia.
