While I'm not usually a reader of thrillers, what I tend to expect from them is a good plot, lots of twists and turns and a satisfying end. This book has all three and so, I would usually rate it as excellent. However, what mars this intriguing story and interesting plot is the gratuitous use of sex throughout. And I don't mean the odd fumbled encounter but full-blown, practically-pornographic-if-it-were-a-film, sex. What makes it even worse is the sex is badly written compared to the rest of the book, but I digress.
