 Snow Bear's Surprise - Piers Harper
Newest Review: ... flowers just starting to grow where the snow has melted. They all pick some and take them back to the den to lay them out ... more  ... like a carpet.
Reindeer tells him that some frosted twigs could look pretty too and Owl collects some red berries to hang from them.
All the animals gather round the den to wait to see what Snow Bear's mother thinks of it and they are delighted to see that she thinks it's beautiful. She also has a surprise for them all though, and takes them to the top of a steep icy hill where they see an amazing sight across the sky. They are all very excited to see the Northern Lights.

***Background*** Piers Harper is who we have to thank for this lovely storybook. It is the follow up to the lovely Snow Bear book and is part of a series of Soft to touch books, which feature lots of touchy feely and shiny bits throughout the book. His beautiful watercolours help to make this series of books a joy to look at. ***The Story*** Little Snow Bear waves goodbye to his mother as she goes out for the day and decides to give her a lovely surprise when she gets back to make her smile.
