As some of you might know I am currently on a disability studies course but I was previously on a GNVQ Advanced in Health and Social Care course. By doing, this course you get to come across a lot of different sociology textbooks. I think that this book has to be one of the best sociology textbooks written.
This book is aimed at people who have brief or very little knowledge about the subject of sociology.

This book can be used as a textbook, for courses like GNVQ Advanced in Health and Social Care, HND disability studies and also courses like GCSE sociology (I personally used it for both, I have also used this book for the HND course that I am presently on). It can also be picked up and read by anyone who wants to read about different aspects of sociology , ranging from discrimination to gender.

I bought this book because it is very detailed and I found it to be very detailed and it also has great pictures to accompany the text that is written in this book.
At the beginning of the chapters in the book, it gives you a brief description of what is in the chapter, with key words that are highlighted in black. Then the author of the book goes in to that subject in a lot of detail covering all the key words that are bold.

Great op. I finished my Sociology degree last year and I must say this book (3rd Edition) was brilliant. Better than Haralambos in many ways. Even just for things like definitions of concepts at the start of an essay or presentation.
