Advantages: A brilliant second installment to the series

Disadvantages: If you didn't like the first book you probably wont like this one.

For anyone who is a fan of the first book - Never the Bride, this book is a must read.

Following on from the first book we continue to delve into the adventures of the ineffable Brenda and Effie in Whitby.

Paul Magrs writing is witty and you fall in with the characters, urging them on, eager to turn the page and discover what terrible disaster they are to be flung into next!

We continue with some familiar characters and encounter new ones as the two old ladies tales are unravelled and we learn more of the crazy goings on in Whitby and its surrounds.

Two unlikely but loveable heroes, cantankerous and sometimes bumbling.

Another good read and leads nicely on from the last book and into the next.

I have recommended Paul Magrs books to several friends and they too have enjoyed them. They are easy reads, and I have found myself absorbed in them and will put off other important things just to finish a chapter!

Summary: Brenda has to confront her own problems while still fending off the evil in Whitby
