The cover of this book is a hint of what's inside. Girly yellows and pinks, flowers, hearts and shiny metallic goodness all signal that this will be a lovely book for young girls, and it is. The main character is Laura, and she is really easy for any young girl (or older girl!) to identify with. The story is told from a first person point of view so we know all of Laura's thoughts. She is a sweet but fiesty girl who has all the same emotions and problems that most girls her age do - friends, wanting to do things she's not allowed to, after school clubs, family problems, etc. She also has a bigger problem - she has found her mother's diary and has ...
