After the success of 'In His Own Write', John Lennon's authorial debut, he managed a second book of nonsense poetry, offbeat prose, and twisted cartoonry - 'A Spaniard In The Works'. Thankfully he was a gifted, humorous writer, and both books contain bizarre literary gems. In 'A Spaniard...' many of the best pieces are twisted children's tales - 'The Fat Budgie' or 'The Wumberlog (Or The Magic Dog)'.
