... something we like to encourge. The story of SPLOSH is one of my daughters kipper storyboards books. The board books are ideal for young preschools who tend to rip the pages. The story is set of just eight pages/boards and feature kipper and a few other animals, which are 3 rabbits and a hedgehog. Kipper has his own blue and white unbrella which turns out very useful to keep the animals dry and when it gets too wet, It makes a very useful boat. Splosh! One of the books in the Kipper series, this will almost certainly appeal to very young children, featuring as it does the ever loveable Kipper, that walking, talking, umbrella carrying little chap! I say umbrella carrying because we meet Kipper on the first page, holding his umbrella with the rain going "Splash!" on the aforementioned umbrella. We are introduced therefore immediately to the format of the book. Each page starts with a sound...splash; splosh; flash; drip, drip, drip; hop squelch;a a a tishoo;slop slap. Great words, which children will easily give an action to. The sound words are in inverted commas, and ...  Read the complete review

Read text! If you read this before your son hits the "Kevin" stage, you might not believe any of this could ever apply to you and *your* son!

Beautifully drawn, strong, thought provoking messages, a good medium for 'art' I cant think of any, this book exetutes its purpose, very well

Exciting adventure story, Long John Silver (complete with parrot and crutch)) Some might find it childish

Touch and feel opportunities. Labels spiders as being 'scary'.

Brilliant rhyming text and excellent illustrations None
