- Who is Spot? - Spot is extremely well-known amongst pre-school children, their parents, carers and educators. He is a chubby little puppy, with one brown spot on his tan coloured skin (hence his name) and a brown-tipped tail. Spot was first introduced in 1980 with Eric Hill's book 'Where's Spot' and more than a quarter of a century later he is still just as popular.
