Spot is very excited because it is his first easter and the easter bunny has hidden lots of eggs for Spot to find. Spot and his friend from school, you remember Helen the hippo take two baskets and off they go hunting for the easter eggs. Spot has to find all the easter eggs that the easter bunny has hidden, Spot is reminded by the easter bunny how many more eggs there are left to find which helps children learn the basics of counting, numbers and addition wholst being subtle enough so that they dont even realise they are learning. This book has 22 pages made from thin cardboard so they wont spoil easily and has 9 lift up flaps with a surprise ... Read the complete review

Although I realise that Easter has been and gone this year, it's well worth keeping this book in mind for the build up to Easter 2008! ~ Spot's First Easter ~ Spot and his friend, Helen the hippo go on an Easter egg hunt that Sally, Spot's Mum has said the Easter Bunny has hidden. They ask how many eggs have been hidden and the Easter Bunny, hiding behind a lift-the-flap bush says "Shh! Six". Instantly the reader knows more than Spot and Helen.
